Inspired by the death of a mate in 2019 who died because of lack of ambulances around.
I designed an app that allows Nigerians get ambulances for emergency situations. Just like Uber, but for ambulances. One can also view hospitals nearby, send SOS messages, talk to doctors...
Transitioned into UI designing barely 9 months ago and have worked on more than 5 paid projects and will be joining a data agency based in San Jose, California, USA as a UI designer tomorrow (6 figures monthly 🚀).
Indeed, previous design knowledge helps. Dedication too 🙌🏾.
Designed
@designbuddyorg
's logo. Designbuddy is a platform for UI/UX and graphic designers to discover remote jobs.
Logo meaning: Handshake/hug between 2 people (client and designer) + a smile (done deal 😊)
tweaked icon to be in sync with type.
Color choice by Designbuddy.

I think the culprit is likely Ishola waheed akanbi (who is a staff of the same Zenith Bank).
The next screenshot is a screenshot of Khalid's own transactions history. Immediate immediately your money entered his account, it was withdrawn to akanbi's account.
Because of the much DMs decided to share it here. Here are some YouTube channels that helped in the journey:
*they are more of practical lessons though
In the past few days, I've been designing a feature in WhatsApp that solves some major problems the app's busy users face.
Here's a link to the case study of the feature:
**check thread to see how it works.
Talk to medical professionals during emergency situations, learn first aid tips, buy first aid kits etc
Also designed a web app and smart watch app version of the app for easy reach.

See How This 18-year-old Nigerian is Changing Communities One Action At A Time,
@Gottaloveify
Thanks.
From my experience, I'll say see more of practicals and start building as you learn.. learn then build what you've learnt instead of just learning and learning. Building helps with getting experience fast. Also try more difficult challenges.
*Got into the uni to study Nursing (Bnsc, RN)
*Got a remote job
*Client base increased x2
*Did 6 figures every month, 7 thrice
*Turned 19
*Won NBA innovation hub challenge
*Nominated for: Founder of the year awards, Innovators Empowerment and Awards, Toshiba & Kioxia Hackcellence
Just looking at the people laughing and the “I told you so” people, you think it’s funny? I hope you’ll use the laugh and “I told you so” to buy things in the market when worse inflation hits. Clowns.
Brand identity design for Skilly, a global marketplace startup for all freelance remote services, where their services can be sold and purchased on the site.

How I still get good gigs is one reason I don’t get imposter syndrome. My work is good and that’s it
5years+ in design and I’ll say my introversion and medical school keeps me in a box (no much networking, haven’t attended any tech events etc)
Just have to be good work. Grateful
Grinding hard so when I get married, I and baby girl will take 1 year off to travel the world and explore different experiences as we also explore our bodies.

He thinks everyone is a political thug looking for crumbs from politician like him. They always find it hard to believe a Nigerian who wants a good Nigeria without the old thieving political class exists.
@Ayoolafelix
awesome design and colors! 🥹
Reminds me of a logo I did then for a feminist campaign, Forever Equal. Combined F + E + Equality sign for the mark.
Logo design for AthleteSync, an app the makes training more efficient as it connects users data to their coaches for better personalized training.
App icon idea: Running person + Sync icon.
Mixed feelings that you get when a client accepts your bill without bargaining.
Am I too good? Did I charge small? Should I have charged more? I don fuck up? Etc 😩
One of the project I enjoyed working on this year.
Led a design team to design the style, identity and product design (UI/UX) for the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for the ministry of health of a country in Oceania.
Had this client that wanted a brand identity and UI person, the UI gig was quite competitive so I settled for the brand identity gig and won with ease... wowed client and they brought me in the web UI design gig 🥹🥹.
Hey guys 👋🏾, just published a presentation of one of the works I did early this year, a web UI design for an e-commerce store that sells eco-friendly products.
Kindly check it out and tel me what you think, thank you!
Selected logo icon vs rejected logo icon for a current brand identity I am developing for a Saudi incubator giant.
Brand name starts with Q, hence the logo icons where designed to look like "Q" and also show connection, support etc (what the brand offers entrepreneurs).
(WIP) Logo refresh ✨ for Bangalore based b2b SaaS startup, PaddleBoat. Just got funding and wanted a refresh.
New logo story: Paddleboat and compass to signify the platform and direction PaddleBoat offers businesses.
Throwback to when I use to run a tech “blog” at age 16
Was making around $1-$5 per day and later sold it off around same period 😂.
Life’s crazy and I looked 🙈
Just ended a contract because client was giving perfectionist vibe and talking about how he has started the work with 2 previous people and he’ll end if he senses any “mistakes” without correcting because he has no time for correction.
Can’t deal abeg.
Client is in bit of a fix on which logo works well for their Real Estate business.
Which is your pick? help me and client pick.
The "A" in the monogram logos forms a rooftop (if you missed it)
There's a poll 👇🏾
I tutored over 200+ teens for free on designing few days ago. I also gave data to some who faced data challenges and gave out design resources. Attached to this post is some of the designs some participants created in the class and a message I got from one of the participants yd.
I feel so glad that I can pick the projects I work on sometimes and don't have to work on projects just because of the need for money.
Couldn't do this years back and I hope all creative get this, so refreshing.
Just published some brand identities I have
worked on... It’s been a journey full of
creative explorations and I enjoyed with
my great clients with every single project,
