Our show was removed from streaming.
It is a clear choice when stories that can, and do, change lives are created only to vanish as if they never existed. It tells us that our voices only matter as long as those in power say they do.
This happened last night. One of the hardest secrets Iโve ever had to keep.
2 years ago, my prev. manager, Jenevieve, sent me to my first audition after wrapping season one of Gen Q, for something called Project Ice Cream. It didnโt take too long to realize what it was for.
I know this is Twitter, but today Iโm celebrating 7 years since top surgery โบ๏ธ๐ค๐
Sometimes, it feels like a lifetime ago. Sometimes, it feels like yesterday.
Grateful for access to life saving gender affirming care. Grateful for my family and friends and community.
This is such a gross take on anti-Asian racism & reeks of anti-Blackness.
Totally lacks any historical understanding of relationship btwn AsAm & Black communities, how much Black communities have fought for us, and how anti-Blackness remains rampant in Asian spaces.
Hi! Taking a bit of a risk here. But itโs important to me.
Quick reminder: I am a series regular / series lead. To have this job, on a network series, is an accomplishment Iโm incredibly proud of.
Please keep this in mind when writing about my role.
My reaction to season 2!!โฃ

Thanks to everyone whoโs been watching, tweeting, and posting about

Weโre just hours away from the newest season of
@SHO_TheLWord
!
โฃ
Itโs been over 2 years since this picture was taken.
โผ๏ธ Hot off the presses!! โผ๏ธโฃ

Itโs official!
Season 3 of
@SHO_TheLWord
is comin at ya! Guess Iโll have to return my nameplate for my trailer
โฃ
Canโt wait to return to Micah! Grateful for another year to explore more stories! Thanks to all of you for bringing us here ๐๐ณ๏ธโโง๏ธ๐ณ๏ธโ๐
And that, my friends, is a season wrap for Micah!
Iโm so proud of what we created & the stories we explored. Everyone worked their asses off, once again, and it is such an honor to watch it all come together.
Will post more bts as the season unfolds (no spoilers!!)! ๐๐
My period started when I was 9 years old, and ended after my first shot of testosterone when I was 18. For four years, I was so relieved to no longer experience monthly periods.
#NationalPeriodDay
Very slowly returning to this space.
For now, just stopping by to acknowledge the first day of AAPI heritage month & to remind folks to protect trans kids.
And as a Chinese American trans man, I want to especially remind folks that queer AAPI folks exist!
Holy sh*t. The season finale of
@sho_thelword
streams tonight at 9pm PST / midnight EST!
I donโt have the words right now to describe this season, so for now, Iโm just gonna drop these (because holy shit Iโm in a scene with these legends??) and hope to see yโall there!
Actually, by using Black folks & their historical disenfranchisement as a point of comparison, and using personal experiences as a means of generalizing everyone, youโre proving just how anti-Blackness is so deeply ingrained in Asian American communities.
Episode 3 is one of my favorites this season. Working with
@jilly_peppa
is a never-ending joy and such a privilege.
Some fun moments from 203.
@SHO_TheLWord
Ok. So. I went to see the new Star Wars the other day and as the movie ended, all I could think about was how happy I was to see an East Asian woman kicking ass in an unstereotypical fashion; she wasnโt a super genius or some sort of martial arts master.
Happy earlyโฆ everything?!
Because youโre such incredible fans, the season 3 premiere of
@SHO_TheLWord
is STREAMING TODAY! So excited for yโall to finally see what weโve been up! Get readyโ this is only the beginning ๐
And donโt forgetโ
#TheLWord
premieres on-air Sunday 11/20!
Tuesday reminder that POC is not synonymous with Black.
If you say โthereโs hardly any POC in _________โ when there are non-Black people of color present, that dismisses the identities of those non-Black POC.
In honor of
@sho_thelword
airing tonight, I found some familiar faces around town ๐โฃ
โฃ
Thank you for all of your lovely messages so far about the premiere! Get readyโ itโs just the beginning!
That scene in 206 of
@SHO_TheLWord
where
@RosannyZayas
holds her hand as a phone & walks awayโฆ that scene was one of my only bloopers.
She kept improv-ing different exits & I laughed at almost all of them. Mostly when it was on her coverage, thank god.
@terrycrews
I was adopted by two moms. And when I was 12, I came out as a trans guy. I didnโt have a โfather figure,โ but I had many examples of positive and healthy masculinity from people it all genders.
Friendly reminder that itโs totally OK to dislike characters in media! There are many I dislike, myself.
Also! Saying โno one caresโ sort of overlooks/dismisses the folks who feel seen/represented by those characters, particularly if theyโre characters w/marginalized IDs.
For anyone wondering, I made sure Micahโs shoes never touched the couch in 205 of
@SHO_TheLWord
.
You canโt see it, but my foot is hanging off the edge.
No way was I gonna let Micah put his shoes on the furniture. Nope. Uh-uh.
It didnโt take long to realize what it was for.
Flash forward to now. If youโre going to see The Matrix Resurrections, you might see a familiar face pop up ๐๐ Itโs brief, but Iโm so honored to be included in this world in any capacity.
1) I forgot
@jtaboner
freaking followed us around on set with that little camera.
2) I forgot she captured how I eat.
3) Micah does have nice shoes.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane
@SHO_TheLWord
.
So, thereโs an app where you can rent someoneโs private pool and pay hourly.
We did that yesterday, had a really special ritual to honor the upcoming birth of our roommatesโ baby, and it was such a beautiful time.
Hereโs a pic of me to keep my roommatesโ privacy ๐โบ๏ธ๐
Listing me separately and/or at the end of an article, as well as omitting me entirely, overlooks that accomplishment.
This applies all year-round, but especially during Prideโ acknowledging the work of queer & trans BIPOC (qtbipoc) is so important.
Might be TMI, but...
All of the liquids consumed were water. We did so many takes of us drinking, both in the group shot and Micah/Hassan/Josรฉ. I had to pee like every 5 minutes.

Itโs a bittersweet day for me here on
@SHO_TheLWord
. Todayโs my last day of filming season 1. โฃThe left photo is from my first day of shooting (in my own clothes), the right is today (in Micahโs gear). โฃโฃ
Season 2 wrap on Micah!
This job will always be one of the greatest honors in my life.
Cannot wait for you all to see what weโve been working on the last 6 months ๐ |

Hi! Iโm Leo. Iโm an AsAm queer trans man.
Iโm also an actor, advocate, public speaker, & sometimes-writer.
Remember: while visibility is a big way we find community, it also comes at a cost for Black & Indigenous trans women & nb & gnc folks.

In this industry, qtbipoc are so often overlooked, both explicitly & implicitly. In images we see, in the casting process, in writing (including press).
Celebrating qtbipoc in film & mediaโ naming usโ highlights progress, provides hope, and shows that you see us.
Not gonna lie, Iโm kinda sensitive to comments about my acting.
For what itโs worth, Iโm trying. Iโm still really new to this world. I learned so much from filming and I know I could learn a lot from classes.
So, yeah. Iโm aware. And Iโm working on it.
I understand, respect, & appreciate the legacy I joined. I acknowledge the space I hold as a man on this show & the impacts it has.
I hope folks can also respect & acknowledge the importance of seeing us (qtbipoc) & respecting our work.
