Good news: Starting January 1st, a concealed carry license (CCL) in Hawaii will be valid for four years instead of one.
Bad news: You will need a license for each firearm you wish to carry, and they cost $150 each.
Looking at the committee report from the last hearing on SB3196, it's clear that the deck is stacked against us. BUT WE WILL FIGHT ON.
Over 1080 pieces of testimony in opposition to this bill were submitted, with just over 100 in support.

California's Assualt weapon ban was ruled unconstitutional, there is however a stay pending appeal.

Last year there was more than 51,000 firearms registered in Hawaii.
Both SB1230 and HB1239 were signed into law at the same time.
SB1230 - Bans firearms in sensitive places including Schools.
HB1239 - Requires active shooter training in schools.

We Have the right to bear arms in public and that includes beaches and parks. Law makes need to stop focusing on prohibiting law abiding people from bearing arms and start focusing on how to protect the public from criminals who will exploit
