i wish more people understood that there is a tremendous difference between being overwhelmed because you're working too much but being paid well, and being overwhelmed because you're working too much and being paid poorly, or not at all. the exhaustion is completely different.

"It's always a red flag if they have no friends." Maybe! Or, maybe they've had a lot of friends who were dicks and now they're (rightly) scared of people. You could assume they're alone because they "deserve it," OR you can be kind to them + show them that good friends exist.✌️

My favorite was a place was QR menus only + my phone was dying and my waiter said, with the most pity in his eyes, "You can read it off MY phone I guess?" + handed me his cracked screen iPhone 12 + I just felt bad for both of us + wanted to ask the manager if this was His Vision.

I don't know when society decided menus with photos of the foods on them are tacky but this is INCORRECT: Menus with photos of the foods on them rule. I wanna SEE all the lil dishes, they give me a better idea of what it is like, and pictures are cute. More menus with photos!!!
