No matter the shot difficulty, c&s or off-the-dribble, Jalen Green's mechanics have shown remarkable consistency. Even if a foot sways on a tough fadeaway three, elbow tuck + release point maintain their form, body remains on-balance. Good to see.

JGs lower body mechanics on jumpers look better. Improved fluidity from knee-bend (countermovement into the jump) to landing. Body is fully aligned at released point, release point is consistent. Elbow bend is more defined at release point, isn’t rushed through mechanics.

Jalen Green is shooting 41.2% 3pt on handoffs, by far his best shooting splits among play types. Issue is half the time JG is blindly attacking downhill, finishing 36.8% on the interior (2pt). Has to do a better job discerning when to shoot and when to take the three.

Tate has been incredible for HOU defensively. LAL looked to punish the mismatch w/ Holiday guarding Hachimura, but Tate pre-switches onto Rui, taking away the LAL advantage. Great 1-on-1 defense by Tate, forcing Hachimura into throwing up a prayer to avoid the buzzer.

Something I think about often. Confident this inevitably becomes a consistent part of Alperen Sengun's game. All roads lead to this. Many focus on the 3-ball when discussing shooting dev but Sengun specifically must add range + versatility to his post/iso game.

DaRon Holmes II full 27pt scoring highlights v Longwood. He was fantastic last season as a defender and post-scorer, and this season he’s added a jumper to his arsenal. Shooting 38.9% 3pt and 57.0% eFG overall. Not to mention he’s also avg 2.7 stocks.

Here are all 28 fga by Jalen Green v BOS. Glossing over his lack of efficiency isn’t necessary. There’s value in these games. JG’s two biggest issues were dealing w/ a help defender in the paint, and the lack of strength against a big like Al Horford.

Amen's handle will be the difference between a starting caliber point guard and a glorified athletic wing. Of course he needs to improve the shooting but his weak ball-control is directly impacting his strength as a downhill creator. I'm confident it'll develop over time.

Sengun is gonna have to clean up on these possessions. He has a myriad of counters in the paint I understand, but he has to give up this ball. He forces shots far too often for the passer he is. The playmaking consistency in the short roll/paint just isn’t there.

HOU Transition-O v NOP: 19 Poss | 4-15 fg | 1 to | 3 drawn fouls | 0.632 PPP This wasn't NOP shutting HOU down, but rather poor finishing and decision making in the open floor. These transition buckets are vital to retaining a T10 offense.

KPJ The man in HOU-purgatory. Not reported as apart of the "core", but everyone in the HOU organization loves him. No inklings that Stone would move on from him. It's assumed he'd come off the bench as a 6th man and HOU brings in a "vet PG". Traditionally a SG but JG's there.

It's critical that Stone replaces the end of the bench w/ vets. There is an over abundance of young players at the forefront. Fringe young players aren't getting PT, and the "core" has no one to sit down and get mentored by. This approach benefits everyone involved.

Not a fan of FVV, and TOR fans weren't either. Not a primary ball-handler, has shot below league avg efficiency in both TS% & eFG% his entire career, 29 y/o, and truly undersized @ 6'1. 8th percentile at the rim (terrible), and has always been an "ok" OTD 3pt scorer...

Regarded just as an elite C&S, Reed Sheppard made it known he's just as elite off-the-dribble. Very comfortable shooting from midrange, showing off a few stepbacks and sidestep threes as well. Arguably the best shooter in the class, his shot versatility remains underrated.

Midrange Jumpers: 4-6 (66.6% fg) Amen may have been away from the game on injury, but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t working. Noticeable improvements in both his handle + shooting form. Less clunky, more fluidity in his movements all around.

I'm sure I've outlined nearly everything. My desired lineup is some combination of the young talent, *sprinkled* in w/ vets. If they don't win they don't win. But I'm confident the process, effort, and chemistry will drastically improve this season. That's more important to me...

At the rim: 6-14 (42.9% fg) Finishing self-created looks (otd) is arguably Amen’s biggest weakness at the moment. As a slasher, converting these rim attempts is imperative. (HOU may just be cursed w/ premier guards who can’t finish lol.)

This is where HOU can land a player who adds in a substantial way to the team (respective to role). HOU can either stack up on another wing (Grant Williams, Cam Johnson, Georges Niang), or rotational guard (Beverley, White, Reaves, DiVincenzo, Rivers, Curry)...
