Finally watched that Sky Sports News clip. My parents emigrated from Hong Kong to Ireland before I was born. So I grew up learning about British colonisation of Hong Kong and British colonisation of Ireland. I wonder if Sky Sports presenters learned the same history?

Urantsetseg Tserendorj was stabbed this time 9.30pm today a year ago. She remained in critical condition until she died 2 weeks later. She was a cleaner walking home from work. I brought some flowers today to the location where the tragedy occurred & had to ask a friend where 1/2

My mum called to shout at me for about 40 mins today. At the end she said my aunt was likely to do the same. Apparently both needed to vent at a politician on how woeful the current lockdown was but couldn't find a politician that spoke Cantonese to vent at so I was it. Fair.

At height of H1N1 in 2009 I arrived in Hong Kong & was sent to a quarantine hotel for 2 weeks no ifs or buts. This was after many losses of lives with SARS. I won't lie it wasn't the most pleasant experience but it was necessary. I'll be asking Ministers this week for the same.

Why are people angry? I watched a friend's funeral from a phone, saw my mum sob while her life's work diminished, zoomed my dad to our wedding and couldn't be there with my father in law when he was in hospital. I had it far better than most. People have every right to be pissed.

I've put the names Women's Aid recorded into one graphic. Since their records began in 1996, 244 women have died violently. Where the case has been resolved, 87% of women were killed by a man they knew while 13% of women by a stranger. I'd be writing to our government leaders 1/2

No one should wake up to see a threat of themselves being 'lynched' & no one's family should have to face that worry. Even if we disagree in terms of policy or politics, we must agree that this hate is utterly despicable & fight against it. I hope the Tanaiste is keeping well.

So if you're a woman in politics you're either a 'witch stirring a frenzy' or a 'little girl who doesn't know what she's on about'. I can see why it's only 22% in the Dail that's women. Whatever your politics, whatever your party, don't belittle women.

Here's something not new but seems to need repeating. If someone sends a nude of themselves & the recipient takes it upon themselves to share it around without the consent of the sender/person pictured, it is them that are despicable turds & to blame & NOT the person in photo.
