Wim Jansen, 1946-2022 For someone only at @CelticFC one year, Jansen had a huge impact. He played for Feyenoord and beat Celtic in 1970's European Cup Final. Then in 1997 he came to Parkhead, winning the League Cup and league, stopping Rangers' Ten attempt. Requiscat in pace.

@Fitzy_072 When we stopped Rangers' Ten attempt in the 1998, nobody cared that it was number 36. 55 isn't even a notable number, such as 50 or 100. An obsession with 55 only matters if you're trying to prove that number 54 and 55 are both connected and were won by the same club.

Very sad news about David Potter. A phenomenal knowledge of Celtic and an amazing number of books written about the club. On a personal level, he was good enough to write the foreword for my first Celtic book, and offer helpful comments too. Requiescat in pace.

Yesterday marked 29 years since Fergus McCann's Celtic takeover. Two things connected to that which I always think of are: 1) the 'Fergus is God' bedsheet sign at McDiarmid Park the next day 2) 'Fergus' appearing on the following week's Fantasy Football League show #celticfc

This is the oldest @CelticFC programme I have. It's from 7 April 1951. I bought it because it was the first Celtic game after my Dad was born. It was a 1-1 draw. Celtic's goal came from Bobby Collins. What is everyone else's oldest programme? Any reason you have it? #celticfc

The name Tommy Burns will always be remembered in Celtic history. But he wasn’t the first Thomas Burns to play for the club. An earlier namesake met a very sad ending, one that tells a wider story of how violent football could be in its early days. 1/15 #celtic #CelticFC

A programme for every @CelticFC League Cup Final. The Hoops' first final was in 1956 (3-0 win over Partick Thistle). The most recent was of course the 2-1 victory over Hibs. Celtic have played in 35 finals, winning 20. They've scored 70 goals in these games. #celtic #celticfc

A major takeaway from today: Greg Taylor is a huge part of this Celtic team. If he'd played 90 mins then the Bhoys would likely have won. Definitely no way we lose that equaliser with him still on the park. Solid in his position and reliable going forward. #CelticFC #Celtic
