I don't speak of it often but my mom is 25 years sober today. I will be ten years clean and sober in October. So even though the problem can be hereditary, so can the solution, and I'm so incredibly grateful to her.

Not many people know this, but I was born with mild cerebral palsy, it took lots of exercising, stretching and patience to make it so kids wouldn't tease me. Some still did, mercilessly. So to you Damion, I say thanks for being amazing.

I teach cooking classes for people who are less fortunate and don't have as many resources at their disposal. Today we made a five ingredient chili in 40 minutes. 40 minutes?and I have to say I'm blown away. It was incredible.

I was out with my mom today and some slimy little bastard stepped to her and was yelling at her about cutting the line. We did not cut the line. He didn't see me and I stepped between them to keep her safe. A couple loud "Back the hell up bro!" And he left,but I'm still shaking.

Everyone is always tweeting "be better" and "do better". I was born two months premature and had about an 11% chance of surviving. This caused mild cerebral palsy which caused me to be teased incessantly, I'm now 11 years sober and a great drummer. THIS IS MY BEST.
