Some news I can finally share after giving it some thought for a while….I have decided that after 14 years on air it's time for me to leave Radio 1. It was my childhood dream to work here and I have truly had the time of my life. But now is time for a change ✨
lol when they come out of Love Island like "what did i miss?"
well.......it's now constantly hotter than the sun, England have won the World Cup and there is no government.
Got Meghan & Oprah on and remembered the time The Queen came into Radio 1. I was under strict instruction to not speak until she spoke first. But when she was stood there I saw her as a nice nan, I felt like I was ignoring her so I broke the ice with “hiyaaa y’alright?” 🥴
Remembering the Manchester attack and sending love to their families. I think today it’s important to remember the power of the One Love gig and how it brought not just the city but the world together. Such a positive bolt of energy in a hard, dark time. 🐝💛
I want to thank you, the R1 listeners for joining me on this journey. Thank you for being a massive part of my life and sharing your lives with me on the radio every day. Thank you for providing endless hilarity, passion and an unquenchable eagerness to ‘avvvvv it!
A lady on the train just asked me “how’s your piano programme going luv?” After much confusion and back and forth we both realised that was a question for Mika.
tonight with Matty we learnt that he wants to be a judge on Drag Race, he can’t wait for winter Love Island and thinks I have a nice fridge. Oh and The 1975 are making some more songs for us. Good times
@Truman_Black
Every night when I make a cup of tea I think of how my Mum fills the kettle up before bed “to save time in the morning!!!” Saving her all of 5 seconds in the AM.
It’s actually made me sick to my stomach all day that these men who have given all they have to the country have had to deal with racist pricks. It’s vile. They’re heroes and are being rightly celebrated by those with a brain.
Three lads who were brilliant all summer had the courage to step up & take a pen when the stakes were high. They deserve support & backing not the vile racist abuse they’ve had since last night. If you abuse anyone on social media you’re not an
@England
fan and we don’t want you.
big ups to Gareth and the
@England
lads, it’s been amazing supporting you and the country has been 100% behind you. Don’t worry, you can still come home. We love yer! 🏴
