I've scaled an education charity @SSCCTY to a paid membership of hundreds of schools with little technical know-how, just lots of learning 🚀 In four years, we're: - supporting 400 schools - with 70% retention - with a small, non-techy team Here's 5 tools that helped 🧶

For those of us who've built charities on trading with schools, this means zero income. Indefinitely. Support the decision, but being reliant on grants suddenly looks pretty damn appealing. Who would you prefer to be begging to? A big funder or loads of stressed out teachers 🤔

3. Documentation 📖 Does your charity have routine processes written down? Write them down. Or video them, whatever. It'll save time and stop Slack/email going off a zillion times every day 😩 We use @Confluence . It's lush.

1. Facebook Ads 🎟 Boring for profit companies use these ALL the time. Why can't charities use them to do good? Don't complicate it, make something your audience wants. Then spend £5 a day on a really simple Facebook Lead Ad to reach new users ⬇️
