I think “the Disney difference” at Disney’s theme parks was never “stories” or “characters.” It was quality. Everyone rallied to give the guest the best of everything: attractions, design, music, entertainment, customer service, food, etc., within practical limits, of course.

PeopleMover fans today will never know what it was like to go through Space Mountain and see the rocket's glow-in-the-dark stripes zooming by on their tracks. After you get past the astronauts, you're pretty much staring at the dark for 30-40 seconds. It's so odd.

Getting a chance to try out the new MagicBand+, which launches at Disney World this summer. The device has all the same functions as MagicBand but the new version lights up and also interacts with the Fab 50 statues around the parks.
