President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has announced a 63.6% increase in the producer price of cocoa from GH¢12,800 per metric tonne (GH¢800.00 per bag) to GH¢20,943 per metric tonne, equivalent to GH¢1,308.99 for every 64-kilogramme bag of cocoa. #CocoaPriceIncrease

The Producer Price of cocoa has been increased by 58.26% from GH¢20,928 per tonne to GH¢33,120.00 per tonne for the rest of the 2023/24 cocoa season. This figure translates into GH¢2,070 per bag of 64 kg gross weight and takes effect from Friday, 5th April 2024.

Nana Kwadwo Amoako was named the 2021 National Best Cocoa Farmer at the 37th National Farmers’ Day celebration. The 52 -year-old farmer from Manso Amenfi in the Western South Cocoa Region has 6 cocoa farms which are 40 hectares in total; producing over 3020 kg/ha. @PMacManu
