Saying "the church (ekklesia) isn't mentioned in Revelation by name, so therefore isn't there" is like saying "God isn't mentioned by name in Esther, so He isn't there." It's an argument from silence. The explicit teachings of Matt 24/1 Thes 4/2 Thes 1,2 come before inferences.

When Jesus prophesied that "nation will rise against nation" in Matt 24:7, He wasn't just referring to nation states. The Greek word is ethnos (i.e. ethnic groups). Therefore, we can expect ethnic/racial tensions to increase in all of its forms as the end of the age approaches...

It is sad to see that many evangelicals don't move beyond "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem" to "my heart's desire and prayer to God for [Israel] is that they may be saved." Jerusalem's peace is in its Prince.
