there are more PhD's in China than we have college students
maybe we shouldn't punish people who desire higher education with student loan debt that plagues them for the rest of their life

While there is some validity to the comparisons, with China being 4 times as populous, you get a better comparison if you use percentages, trend analysis is good too, I think that it would show that China’s PhDs and middle class are going up and ours are going down.

An educated population is one of the great assets a nation can possess. Trouble is they can also think analytically which is why they are the first to be eliminated by fascist regimes.

China also now publishea the most amount of scientific papers.
It's scientists can pursue their careers with no student debt to lock them into low paying service jobs, like is the case in the US.

We have about 18.5 million extreme poor China had 850 million and they recently got rid of all extreme poverty in the country.
