The fact that the model train company Kato has several little goobers that will run around their new factory in japan just because. A factory and little gooblet museum
I love these goobins so god damn much i cant express it
its so funny seeing the TV show props on an actual layout with which ever face they had on last because it looks like gordon just witnessed the worst possible act of war and doesn't want to talk about it
I present my most recent completed diorama
Its a modern day San Francisco cable car scene. So many new techniques and build methods were used in this, lots of custom details which i will show in a following thread!
Featuring Puptheband artwork done by the talented
@Beefstrong
I dont like talking about projects before i have a ton to show for them but i do plan on making this in HO scale from the newest Wes Anderson film, Asteroid city, i mean each and every train car with its special details!
im aiming for as screen accurate as possible
So i did it, heres the video of the build.
I put too much effort into this, annoyingly i have to split it into two parts on this stinky site, but the full is on youtube
the train will be improved with time, but for the most part its mostly done!
Been trying to get back into the groove with train stuff so i did these little goblins for my porter.
Resin 3d printed and did a multi layer chipping paintjob, i think it came out pretty nice in the end, i was digging all over for decals and wasnt sure how these would look
So, HYPER SPECIFIC fixation time!
Case study: Plastic Beach model
Built by: Asylum Models & Effects Ltd. UK
Scale: 1/35 ish
So for those who some how didnt know, the island on the cover of the gorillaz album 'Plastic beach' was a giant scale model made from kitbashed parts
First time doing a heavy weathering on an expensive engine but since the one in the film was dusted to hell and back, honestly its not far off the screen used prop.
Im still a little eh about it right now but i might come around in a day or so, clears on the front are to come
An hon30 porter I got from some friends for my birthday. Wasted no time getting to painting it up, absolutely wonderful kit.
Kit is by Toma model works
It was a little bit rough, partially the train but that can be tweaked, a lot was just people being dumb and blocking all the tracks, so I was in sidings most the night.
So authentic railroad experience!! Just feeling a bit bummed since it's first run was rocky
So hey gamers I was in a model contest today and to be honest? sort of a let down but honestly i still did pretty good! This is a new piece i did recently and im so amazed with how it came out, sadly, compared to the other dioramas it was over shadowed (HO scale) (model thread)

Seeing the engine round the corner is always fun
I need to get a phone stand because it's hard to hold a phone steady and use the locomotive functions ๐
Damn whats 'APR', wonder what that is?? ๐
The units as i got them vs me relettering them and repainting the roofs, matching the paint was hell but i hand mixed Tamiya paints to get it pretty close id say. Weathering is soon to come

How it started vs how it is now
Went with a scratch build siding made of styrene for this, over all, pretty happy with how it came out despite only having one show to go off of
If anything the color should have been more of a red but eh, im pretty happy with it
So hey uuuhhh I Won 2nd place in my first model contest. This is a project i wanted to not post a ton about on here to surprise you, its based off of a Critter Country school bus. I will post more about it in this thread!
Taking a break from THE PROJECTโข to rework my 3d printed bogie, adding a coupler pocket but while doing so i forgot how much i liked these soldiers i painted for the gondola. Slowly getting back to the trench railway project.
I was just given my dad's old Lionel from when he was a kid, 1952 and still runs. Haha I remember crying as a kid because I wanted this set and look at me now, I was legit shaking when putting the track together, but maybe that's because the tube track is hell haha. Sparks galore
