Yeah I'd be interested to hear what made it useful. I do 1:1s with my team members and it's usually discussing what they have going on and how their pets and family are.

We did about 30 minutes of 1:1 today, and half of it we spent grumbling about this year's new HR performance-feedback software system, which could have handily taken the entire time if we'd wanted to.

Pls do share how you were able to make it so productive. Every month, my 1:1 with boss rolls around and I am hit with the thinking, okayy how to do I make it so the boss doesnt feels that I am just wasting his time

That is awesome and the best thing when you have great bosses. I have had horrible bosses before and this is why I also think skip level 1:1s should be a thing and management feedback surveys. When your mgmt is great though it makes a world of difference
