Being a startup founder is all about being good at context-switching🤯
I come back every week to tweet the same thing:
Connect me to kickass backend, frontend, react-native engineers😅
No point in writing “we’re hiring” because I’ve realised that startups are always hiring :)))))
For real tho, pls connect/tag them here
As a first time founder who’s always torn b/w product features and marketing - I’m realising this now that no matter what industry you’re in, the only way you can level up your startup game is by Marketing. Good Marketing💪
To everyone asking:
Just because we haven’t implemented a revenue model YET, doesn’t mean we won’t ever have one.
Yes we’re solving for a pressing issue - mental health. But no, our startup is not an NGO.
Honest feelings after raising a million dollars in funding:
- Anxious about what’s next
- Confidence that we finally have the resources to build what we’ve always wanted to build
- Uncertainty of finding great people to join our team
- Pressure of performance
- Gratefulness
Our newest core team hire is leaving his offer at a Unicorn🦄 & joining our early-stage startup - as he believes in our mission & has a shared vision of changing the mental health landscape🚀
This is exciting :)
See what we have to offer👉🏻
Running a startup is all about getting used to the 100s of rejections you're going to get - from investors, potential hires, customers. You need to get used to it, get good at it, and not take it personally.
As a startup founder, there are moments when I SUDDENLY realise the freedom I have in terms of what I can do, what I can build, which direction our product is headed.
There are no limitations to my thought process & that’s a beautiful feeling.
We. Can. Literally. Do. Anything.
Hiring is hard. And stressful.
Finding the right fit is not easy.

Engineers & product folks in

@banisinghvasir
& I’d like to catchup with few folks over the weekend & get some insights. Let me know if you’re around?
If you’re reaching out to me for a graphic designing role, what am I supposed to do with just your resume (with no links to a portfolio/work samples)🥲🥲🥲
How NOT to reply to a founder friend when they reach out for emotional support:
Founder friend: “I’m not feeling okay, nothing’s going right at work.”
You: “Come on, what do you have to worry about? You’re running your own company, chill out.”
Need more founders to talk about how daunting and hard it can be to be a young first-time founder rather than making it look like they’ve got it all figured out
13th February 2019 - I put up this story on my Instagram.
The day
@banisinghvasir
and I started working on
@nowandme
together.
Happy National Startup Day :)
We had 1 Million organic impressions for
@nowandme
on Google in the last 3 months.
From learning SEO myself to gradually building a team of skilled individuals, had to work our way up through ALL the steps.
And, the best part? We loved every bit of it.
This is just the start :)
Startup Founder Wrapped 2021
- You were consistent and showed up every day for 365 days in a row, no matter what struggle came your way.
That’s all. And that’s all that matters.
Surround yourself with people who empower you, believe in you, and uplift you. There are good days, bad days, and ok days but certain people in life manage to make everything better. Find those people and keep them close.
I have major respect for solo founders who are managing EVERYTHING by themselves. It’s tough.
👇🏻Tag solo founders below. Let’s appreciate them, their hard-work, & consistency.
🎉 Exciting news: Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia Consumer Tech 🚀
This wouldn’t have been possible without the support & belief of our amazing team, users, family memebers, investors, & friends.
Thank you for being a part of our journey. More to come 🚀
