Moondream1 is a tiny VLM trained by @vikhyatk . It is pretty suitable to run on variety of devices. We brought it inside our app to support better image captioning. It generates pretty detailed stories about the image. It is a lot of fun! 2/6

One question people have: how fast is SDXL on device? On M1 Pro, you can expect around 150s end-to-end for 30-step generation on 1024x1024. It is about 90s on M1 Max for the same generation. It is roughly the same speed at the same resolution comparing to SD v1. (2/9)

On iPad Pro M2, it reduces SD v1 at 512x512 per iteration UNet evaluation from 0.9s to 0.75s. On iPhone 14 Pro, it reduces from 1.88s to 1.6s. For SDXL at 1024x1024 on iPad Pro M2, it reduces from ~8s to ~6s and generally have better thermal curve. (5/9)

To enable CoreML with LoRA, you need to select both "Use CoreML If Possible" and "Use CoreML for LoRA". Because each change for LoRA settings (different weights, different combinations) will generate a new CoreML model, it is not on by default. /END

We also polished up our Seed options. For new users, it will be new seed on each generation, which helps them to get a variety of images. For advanced users, we added "NVDIA GPU Compatible" seed mode, which will match initial noise from NVIDIA graphics card. (4/5)
