@dr_irfan_malik @Parody_RCGP Would NHS GP’s be allowed to close lists like NHS Dentists do ? So these “targets” can be met but ofcourse many people won’t have a NHS GP - but she’s only promising that people can see their GP’s within 2 weeks- not that there will be enough NHS GP’s for everyone

@dr_irfan_malik She has no idea how primary care works. We would all like to offer appointments within 2 weeks. We just don't have the staff to do this

@dr_irfan_malik 4600 patients in a practice that would be 2300 appointments per week- so maybe 115 patients to be seen each morning…….???

@dr_irfan_malik Yes, the last living UK GP will be put in a special David Blane-style glass box, past which will wind a queue similar to the Queens’s lying in state (but longer), so that people can be said to have, indeed, “seen” their GP.
