9 years ago yesterday, I was headed into surgery in Las Vegas. Still doesn’t seem real, but I had open heart surgery, my aortic valve replaced with a metal valve. At 22 years old. I don’t think about it much, but I’m still reminded on days where my health isn’t the best.
