This is so fucking stupid. We're in a climate crisis. People WANT to live and work in cities. People WANT to take public transit. Yet we push jobs and people out of cities, and cheer when tech companies leave SF. Yea let's have techies drive to work instead, that'll show them!

@deapthoughts @Sr_Lazarus You don't need a car to reach this area, there is a ton of high tech already there - it connects by shuttle directly to So SF BART if you want to use public transit

@jpoliticssf @Bobakkabob37 I'm not criticizing Stripe, I'm criticizing the city for not building enough office space and housing. FWIW, I'm a pretty militant pro-bike anti-car person, but if I had $300k+ in options vesting every year and my company moved to South San Francisco... I'd buy a car.

@deapthoughts @NeverSassyLaura SSF has pretty darn good public transit (especially bike-aided). Both a Caltrain and a BART station. Not quite as good as Townsend St in SF but WAY better (in terms of commute time travel) than Bay Area or national average.

@deapthoughts I absolutely hate any commute. Let me work from home where I'm 10x more productive without having to deal with overcommunicated noise in a building

@deapthoughts Most already have to commute long distances to SF because it has way more jobs than housing. Putting your company anywhere in the Bay Area just creates misery for your employees at this point.
