Members attending a virtual meeting of Full Council today voted in favour of reducing the threshold of support needed to erect bilingual street signage, from the current 66% of street residents to 15%.
Council has approved funding for the construction of a rainbow pedestrian crossing in the Council area to show support for the Foyle Pride movement. The proposal was unanimously supported & will be the first in NI.

The international Clipper Round the World Yacht Race will return to Derry~Londonderry in 2020
A new partnership agreement has been formed between Council and the Clipper Race to acquire the status of Host Port Partner

Councillors attending Full Council today voted in favour of a proposal to write to the Irish Government to express their support for the 100% redress scheme for those affected by the MICA scandal.
Council has voted unanimously to seek a meeting with Irish Housing Minister demanding that 100% redress is provided to all those affected by

Council has today endorsed an £180m set of draft proposals to create a vibrant Central Riverfront/Strand Road & Walled City area as part of the ambitious City Deal plans for the City and District.

Mark Farren's parents, Michael and Kathleen, visited the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium today to see a mural which has been painted on the tunnel of the Mark Farren Stand in honour of their son.
Mark played for Derry City between 2003 & 2012 and tragically passed away in 2016.
