If I go quiet for a period of time it's because the wife was transferred to ICU at the Derby Royal with covid complications, despite having both jabs. Not a lot has worked so far. Changes lots of things. Not after sympathy, just understanding
Sheff United get £125m plus parachute payments for finishing bottom. How can the rest of the championship compete with that. The system is seriously flawed
Thanks for the kind messages and thoughts over the last 10 days. Pleased to report she is out the induced coma and off the ventilator and starting the slow recovery process.
@SkySportsPL
Get some sense of proportion man... Nothing compared to our predicament. Try doing it when 25 of your squad are sold and you can't replace them
For those asking & concerned about

8/9/1888 saw the first ever football league matches anywhere in the world. Our gameyat Bolton was the first of those to kickoff at 3:45pm. Derby won the toss and so took the very first kick in league football globally!!
Derby's first million pound signing, Dean Saunders with Arthur Cox and Stuart Webb with portrait of Robert Maxwell hanging on the wall. Also seen is the Juventus pennant exchanged in Turin... Never been seen since!
Derby - Baseball Ground, new Main Stand in the backgrond with groundsman using the latest equipment. Taken from the Normanton End, before the double-deck stand was built
Today, 1969 we saw our record home attendance of 41826 v Spurs, Dave Mackay's first meeting with his formwr team. Derby won 5-0...for those not there you cannot imagine the noise
The largest attendance ever to watch a Derby County game of 120,000 saw Real Madrid beat a depleted Rams 5-1, not helped by some very poor refereeing decisions. Charlie George with another stunning goal.
On this day in 1995, a certain Croation defender made his debut in a 1-5 defeat at Tranmere. He scored that day and the transformation of the club from that day forwards was immense. Welcome

There aren't many items of memorabilia we haven't got or would really like to add. However, the ship's bell from the trawler/WW2 minesweeper named Derby County would be one of the few. A rare picture out of the boat out of water.
Radio Derby unique interview coming up with Bloomer's grand daughter who is 91 and lives in South Africa. Lived with him on Junction St and probably the only living person to see him and the first time she has spoken about him. Going out from 7am tmrw
Whilst we are mentioning former manager's birthdays, it is also that of Tim Ward. Player in the 40s, representing England and manager through the 60s till Clough. Responsible for signing Boulton, Daniel, Durban, Webster and Hector.
Whilst we had the old floodlights on crude scaffolding perched on top of the Normanton & Osmaston Stands, we also had to have extra ones installed in the Ley Stand for TV broadcast purposes. seen here v Man City, 1971-72
We join the nation in mourning the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and would like to extend its condolences to all members of the Royal Family.

oldest living player, Joseph Allen Oliver who played in the 1940s. Would be great to get him to Pride Park for his centenary next year.
After many years of research by a number of people, this is the closest you will get to seeing the original kits, as worn by the club when they played at The Racecourse. The only original in existence is the red/white one, others made from photos and contemporary descriptions.
