Sometimes when you cheer for a program that has come very close but never actually scaled the mountain, you have a hard time appreciating the good times that you have. Mississippi State is in as good a shape with its overall athletic teams' success than at any period in my life.

I did not & will not engage any Ole Miss fans over our NCAA issue. I have only this to say - MSU acted proactively once being informed about the problem, worked WITH instead of against the NCAA & minimized the penalties. This is in stark contrast to how Ole Miss handled theirs.

This sweet fellow made a brief 24 hour visit into our lives. Wife found him along Hwy 25 near Carthage. He had broken away, gotten his leash all tangled up in some weeds & he was trapped. Brought him home, fed, gave water & a bath, located his owners & they are reunited.

Post game at a @HailStateWBK is something to behold. These players are rock stars. The lines of kids (and kids at heart) seeking autographs and pictures is amazing. Yet those young ladies do it with a smile. It's a special relationship and the fans adore them.

I will forever wonder what Mike Leach could have accomplished had he been given 7 years at Mississippi State instead of 3. Leach's philosophy leveled the playing field somewhat playing against superior talent. He was the perfect coach for us.

My life is so much better since I stopped watching the news & paying attention to politics. I know the world is going to hell but I'm not, so I'm going to enjoy life as best I can. And tuning out is working wonders for me. I recommend it.
