Problem with this, premier League are contracted to these broadcaster's till 2025. However, I would love to see sky and bt become irrelevant.
@mikinrin90
Yeah I understand it's not imminent but anything that makes Sky pointless is a good thing.
30 years of the same broadcaster has made the coverage so stale.
@dantracey1983
Which in theory sounds great, but I’m imagining most of the presenters who currently work for sky will soon jump ship for a new network. So to be fair not a lot would change.
@dantracey1983
This idea was thrown into the ring 2019. I personally think it’s a good idea. The only problem I see with it, is clubs setting the prices too high.
Like to think that we can go back to 3pm Saturday kickoffs for all matches, and 7:30pm Wednesday kickoffs.
@xQueen_Piscesx
No it wouldn't.
You could say goodbye to both your Sky and BT subscriptions at the same time.
If it wasn't for live games nobody would watch or want their channels.
Bar the live games there's no original programming these days, it's such bad value for money these days.
@dantracey1983
A while back when Sky had the Champions League they made all matches each night available to watch via the red button. I always wanted them to do something like that with the Premier League but they never did. If someone could they'd make a killing
@dantracey1983
Honestly it should all be on amazon. The production value (not pundits) are top notch and the soccer saturday equivalent where you can actually watch the replays of events as opposed to just the commentary is way better
