Ngl, Nigeria's vaccination cards are actually impressive. Scanned Barcodes will show your data online and the times you were vaccinated as well as other relevant detail. (US vax cards don't have QR codes) But our international image is so dirty that it doesn't even matter.

"Hospitals reject patients" - WRONG If you didn't know before, now is a good time to learn. Do not be ignorant. Hospitals do not reject patients. They REFER Hospitals are not like the Babalawo or Dibia's shrine where magic happens, they give out care based on some factors.

I had over 200 rejections when I first applied to work in the United Kingdom as a young doctor. A year later, I ranked in the top 10% of applicants for the first part of surgery residency nationally. Failure is an event, and it does not define you. You only fail if you quit.

Negative marking was the worst. This was the single biggest hurdle to students passing exams after adequate preparation. It should get phased out of medical school entirely. When I describe how exams were to my colleagues who trained elsewhere, they’re usually in disbelief.

What then is the solution? Enjoy the journey. Live through the journey. Don’t see suffering, but see opportunities. Have nodal points, rather than ultimate goals. Don’t wait till a certain level to do something that will create a memory. Do it today. Do it tomorrow.
