Ohio State now has the No.1 offense in the country, and is No.7 in total defense. Ryan Day brought Jim Knowles in to fix a struggling defense. Through 6 games last year Ohio State was ranked 98th in total defense. I would say Jim Knowles has delivered thus far.

Ryan Day has certainly taken the concept of keeping the best in Ohio to a new level. The top three in state lineman all to the Buckeyes was something even Urban did not accomplish. From a recruiting stand point, Day has elevated OSU’s level of recruiting in his tenure as HC.

I’m really hoping Justin Fields realizes this week he has a really good Target he can make a lot of easy passes to named Jeremy Ruckert. We haven’t seen him make simple plays all season but Ruckert can make plays off those simple 5-7 yard passes. Could be a major key to this game
