Note the confusion "female pastors" causes: 1. "Personally" opposed but it's OK. 2. "Pastor" title means "non-elder" office. 3. Biblical position is pastor/elder/overseer office reserved for men, but women filling the office isn't unbiblical compromise. It's people pleasing.

I don't understand @Acts29 's draw or why pastors put up w/its "leaders." Their ecclesiology tends toward spiritually abusive practices as evidenced in lack of accountability and transparency. They can't take criticism. They've lost their best talent in @grimkeseminary . I'd leave.

Folks, preaching Christ doesn't preclude living for Christ, and living for Christ entails doing a whole lot of things that are not merely preaching Christ. I don't know what it means to "outlaw all sin," but certainly some are commissioned to outlaw some sins (e.g. Romans 13).

It would be wonderful if we could ban all sin. But while there are things to ban, you simply cannot outlaw all sin. Confessing this is not compromising (contra the Xian nationalist argument). It's realism. Further, our commission isn't to ban all sin; it's to preach CHRIST.
