I don't like either the judge-made constitutional law subscribed to by legal libertarians or Vermeule's common-good versions of originalism.
@BarackObama
... Lock his scandal-prone ass up! That man had more scandals and illegalities happening in his administration than the law allowed!

@cjscalia
Exactly! Regular liberals do not have to deny the radical or extreme excesses of their party, but every conservative, especially religious conservative, has to denounce and beg for forgiveness for every slight divergence since the death of Christ, including the death of Christ!

Lol. It's not even based on the novel. It's from the TV show adaption. Don't give these people credit for at least reading the book.
@cjscalia
It’s another in a long line of examples of how many people including reporters who should educate themselves better view very religious people.
I am religious but not as much as some friends of mine who are. They are great people and not weirdos or cult members.

Bravo. Your father would be so proud of that clever catch! Well said. I just wish you had used the word "jiggery pokery" in that tweet, though.
@cjscalia
I laugh at the folks that go from handmaid to Handmaid's Tale to husband rules over ACB. I can't even begin to explain to them. I like the video of ACB getting in the drivers seat of the van loaded with the family. Who's the boss?

So "originalism" would suggest we draw on the 1611 KJV usage? e.g. "But afterward they turned, and caused the servants and the handmaids, whom they had let go free, to return, and brought them into subjection for servants and for handmaids." - Jeremiah 34:11
