Idk people can get mad at me if they want, but I do wish grocery delivery was more reliable. Cuz we only got the one car and there's a variety of other reasons we may or may not be able to go ourselves.
Then w*lmart calls me up like "So it looks like the driver stole your
Groceries. 🤷♀️ Here's the hoops you gotta jump through to get your refund. Then once that happens it could take up to 5 business days to get that refund so now you're out groceries and your grocery money for a while. ...🤷♀️"
People on here get mad at you when you complain about inst*cart drivers and the like... like you're not paying for the service and tipping the driver.
Like if you go to a restaurant and they bring you moldy food or they just don't bring out your food at all, you're gonna
Complain, right? I don't know why this is different - especially when people have to rely on delivery services like this due to things like disability or lack of transportation.
Also, since I guess it needs to be said, you can think that delivery drivers should be paid more AND not want your groceries stolen. It's not one or the other here.
@cinniharpy
This shit is why I force myself to go to Kroger when it opens at 6am. Between 60% of what I want "not being in stock" every time and all that shit you just listed, I have to despite my anxiety, distress, being imunocompromized, and having arthritis in all my lower joints.
@eveblackwood89
Yep! Like I'm not using the delivery service to be a pain in the ass. Sometimes I don't have a choice. Idk. This site's reaction to saying "I wish my groceries weren't stolen" is weird.
@jmatwood
Right?? Like I NEVER said the workers shouldn't be paid more. I think they should be paid more! That doesn't mean that I can't be upset that stuff was stolen.
@cinniharpy
Oh my god yes
It stresses me out how many hoops I have to jump through when an issue occurs. I don’t get the opportunity to grocery shop in a normal way and it’s just easier on my life to get it delivered. I don’t mind paying extra but I wish they were more reliable
@cinniharpy
I just can't do the grocery store. It has always overwhelmed me and stressed me out to a point that it's unreasonable and now I know I have PTSD and autism, but people act like if you paid for something you could have done yourself you deserve whatever you get if it goes wrong.
That’s now 2/3xs my groceries weren’t delivered. 2nd time they didn’t follow my v clear instructions & delivered them to an entirely different complex, this time they said the door was locked which like it wasn’t but also if you thought it was wouldn’t you idk FUCKING BUZZ?!
@cinniharpy
"Oh, and we can't just replace the groceries and have them sent today. You need to replace the order once you have your refund and pick a delivery a few days out. Good luck!"
Doesn't help this time, but is there someone in your neighborhood who you can pay to shop for you?
@cinniharpy
Literally had to email walmart today about the 2nd order within a month and a half that wasn't delivered correctly/in its entirety! And now I have to wait 2 days before they'll even let me ask for a refund and then another 5 days for it to process!
@cinniharpy
In the UK, most of the big supermarkets run their own delivery services, and it has made such a difference to being able to get food while disabled.
@cinniharpy
I got told by someone that we should just have to put up with that kind of service. Like, no. I paid for a service and I expect to receive it. I wouldn't pay a plumber, get a half assed job and then not complain. Same thing.
