I am very proud to finally announce an upcoming project I have been working on for almost a decade. Daikaiju Rumble is a project I have been putting my souls into and I hope you guys are eager to see what I have in store!
ANNOUNCEMENT:
Prepare for Daikaiju Rumble, an upcoming Kaiju light novel series.
A love letter to the Kaiju and Tokusatsu genre, Daikaiju Rumble is a series filled to the brim with giant monsters, Henshin-style heroes, size-shifting heroines, combining mechas, and so much more!
Let's make it a tradition going forward that any director of a Godzilla movie must carry the toy of their respective Godzillas whenever they do any press for their film.
THEORY: Minus One might be the first Godzilla film where we see the very moment Godzilla is hit by an atomic bomb and mutate into a monster. There is a good chance this is him just getting nuked and we are seeing his skin burn and mutate.
Can I just say these are some of the coolest, funniest, and most endearing human characters not only within the Godzilla series, but the Kaiju genre as a whole. Cap, Doc, and Kid are so cool and gives
#GodzillaMinusOne
so much heart and soul!
Since Shimo seemingly be confirmed to be female, can't wait for the artists who draw humanized Monsterverse Kaiju to make her a Lady Dimitrescu-esque design considering how goddamn big she is compared to Godzilla.
If the success of Shin Godzilla is anything to go by, then Toho is gonna put MinusGoji's gorgeously ugly mug on everything and probably be the face of the franchise (especially with 2024 being the 70th anniversary year).
Takashi Yamazaki wants to work with Hollywood actors on his next film
“If you know any A-List talent who loved 'Godzilla' so much they'd do it for one-fifth their normal rate, let me know"

I'm glad
#PreyMovie
continues the Predator franchise's (and to an extent Alien) tradition of suitmation and keeping the Predator practical as much as possible.
His versatility. Godzilla can be a hero, a villain, a children's icon, an allegory, and so, so much more. Very few monsters, or even fictional characters for that matter, can fill as many roles as Godzilla. He is THE pop culture monster.
Minus One really has transcended genre boundaries and is a Godzilla film that found the fucking bullseye where it resonated with nearly every type of audience member. You know a Kaiju film is that fucking good when the snobs at the Academy loved it.
Marvel is having their superheroes crossover with Ultraman and DC is having the Justice League crossover with both Godzilla and Kong. Personally I am loving this!
Honestly if there is anything the Reiwa and Monsterverse era of Godzilla has truly blessed us with, it's some of the absolute best new renditions of Akira Ifukube's magnificent Godzilla theme through modern means. Shout out to the GOATs Naoki Sato, Bear McCreary, and Kan Sawada!
Managed to find a recording of the Godzilla vs. Jet Jaguar short and while it had stinky audio (thanks Toho), this was a fun short with some surprises and an amazing bro moment from our Lord and Savior Jet Jaguar!
Friendly reminder that the newest Godzilla Battle Line event wasn't the first officially sanctioned crossover between Godzilla and Gamera. It was the 1970 Osaka World's Fair via a stage show for its Children's Festival.
I’ve noticed a lot of people like, REALLY like King Ghidorah
I do want to ask, why?
Not hating at all, genuinely curious and I would like to know why he’s so loved
tell me what you like about him and don’t be afraid to gush
@AGramuglia
It's amusing/interesting that Aaron Davis is gonna be known as THE Prowler for many audiences while Hobie Brown is gonna be seen as Spider-Punk. Honestly I really find what audiences gravitate towards of various incarnations of characters.
I like to think Peter's Arachnid Rider suit is from a Reiwa era Tokusatsu show that is light hearted and filled with gimmicks. Miles' Tokusatsu suit looks like it it's from a mid 2000s Heisei suit that is dark as hell and not afraid to be gory.
Legit how deadly serious Raymond Burr was when he reprised his role as Steve Martin for Godzilla 1985, anyone else feel he experienced the events of Gojira itself instead of the Americanized Godzilla: King of the Monsters?
Some of the Mountain Dew flavors are getting a new look! These new box graphics for Code Red, Live Wire, and Voltage are up on Hy-Vee's website.
Yay or nay on the redesigns?
Um holy shit APPARENTLY there were plans to introduce King Ghidorah in Kong: Skull Island and made it into the storyboard phase. Like did anyone else knew about this?
@GodzillaWiki
looks like the Monsterverse Ghidorah details need another update.
Honestly give it like maybe 3 years at the soonest but Pacific Rim has really reached the point where it is due for a Shout Factor, Arrow Video, or hell MAYBE a Criterion release. It truly has become the sci-fi cult classic of the 2010s and has influenced Kaiju media since.
PLUTO TV to Add 24 Hour/7 Days GODZILLA Channel with Toho films and Animated TV Shows!!
This channel will reportedly have all Toho Godzilla films up to Final Wars, including the Rebirth of Mothra films and the 70s Godzilla Animated Show and TriStar Godzilla Animated series
I love how overdramatic Rodan was when he fell after Mothra stung him in King of the Monsters. The movie framed it like one of those over the top villain falls but since he's a kaiju he only fell the equivalent of like 3 feet.
I know it's just a few seconds but I love this. If this is a scene where Gamera looks at the main kids characters then I love we get to see a Kaiju soften their expression yet still comes across as a bad ass. Rebirth is redefining "Friend of All Children" to be bad ass!
So with Godzilla 2000 being portrayed as female in Gojiban, I now want to see this designed humanized as a punk rock girl with purple spikey hair. Maybe she can join
@lisanaffziger
's Titanosaurus gal in their punk band.
Just saw
#InvisibleMan
and at long last, Universal finally made a modern Universal Monsters film that doesn't suck! The performances were incredible and the Invisible Man himself is such a chilling manifestation of the horror those who suffered from abuse have to deal with.
To any content creators who wants a good source when making anything related to Godzilla that is English friendly, I HIGHLY recommend David Kalat's A Critical History and Filmography of Toho's Godzilla Series. Genuinely has been my Bible for Godzilla film history.
