I remember him anytime I am tempted to complain about my job as a journalist. I don't even feel a journalist compared to him.
He loved his job, was killed because of it, so I just wanted to make sure more people could see it.

He got into a FARC secret camp and spend some days in it, documenting life, interviewing people. He followed the paths of drug commerce across the Amazon. He always wanted to go where real stories where and couldn't spend time behind a desk. 2/5

This was a hard, long project. So happy to see the people who worked on it recognized (too many to name in a tweet), and for a project so important to get recognition.

Four years ago I went into the Washington Post newsroom to work on my first U.S. presidential election.
Today I will do my second from home, probably in my PJs, with a Democracy dies in darkness t-shirt and a Munising sweatshirt.
Not as cool and interesting, but very comfy.
Sad about missing the holidays with your family?
Expert here! We moved to the US 8 years ago. We have never spent the holidays with our families since.
I spent the first one alone with my wife and kids thousands of miles away.

Now that I'm a manager I don't get to do many graphics, so it's great when one gets to do something on deadline, pulling an all-nighter, and then they let you use three and a half pages of precious paper for it for old times' sake
I first came to the U.S. to join Marty's Boston Globe.
I'll always remember the years I've worked with Marty leading the newsroom and all I've learned from him.

We will continue to update and include more details here.
Very proud of the work
