I get it. everyone’s biggest fear (next to losing money) is being wrong. but there’s so much beauty in taking risks for shit that moves you. depending on data too much leads to everyone doing the same shit. art should be… unpredictable. idk i’m just ranting lol

@cheyatl Most of the time the “Data” be wrong a lot of these newer major label artists pop off for 2-3 years and rely on the hype instead building an actual fanbase and fall off before their sophomore album drops.

@cheyatl Belief is great. But it all boils down to time and money. That's the calculation. How long will it take to break this act? How much money will it cost to break this act? From the artist's perspective, if a label offers you a deal based solely on belief, the terms likely suck.
