Holy shit, Moosa from TDE had a heated exchange with Reason on BACKONFIGG 😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫
"Can you name 10 Reason songs"
"Dave Free said don't sign him, called you a substitute teacher"
"You sitting in a room with 2 men that don't know your music"
"You can't blame the label"
@cheyatl
I’ll say this. This conversation allows people to be introduced to his music. Its a viral moment that will be capitalized by Reason & TDE. This is the spark that was needed for the push of him. From a business sense / entertainment sense what if it was staged!

The exchange surprisingly mentioned Dave Free who left TDE before Kendrick. Wondering if they left because of decisions made to bring in artist who aren’t on the level as the Kendrick Soul Q Rock SZA and Isaiah Rashad. Reason last album didn’t really pop despite heavy features.

Bro lyrically inclined too., he said it himself tho ., he hadn’t been consistent because he hadn’t been “allowed” to drop. But! I’m in total agreement, that’s a convo for off air.!

Calling in was disrespectful. However, it felt like a tough love moment. Artists need to be savvier in how they move, long gone are the days a label will line up all your affiliates. Appearing on platforms where they rock w/ you but not your work is a miss
