David McCormack has had a really rough tournament ... and a tough season. But he was undoubtedly the presence that woke Kansas up — and completely flipped this game early 2H. Hope that stretch doesn't get forgotten. Because this run doesn't happen without him taking over.

Dedric Lawson was heartbroken in the KU locker room. Crying into a towel. Said he felt the loss was all his fault. Said he let everyone down. He didn't always show it, but Dedric Lawson cared a lot about his team and you could see it all kind of hit him at the end. #kubball

Malik Newman described his childhood basketball court today. The big kids wouldn't let him play on the real court — "I used to go home crying," he said. Newman used a tree. He broke a tire off a bike and hung it up. He played on dirt. If it rained, he couldn't shoot for days.

Think a good way to sum it up: Wouldn't blame Norm Roberts for KU's loss but it displayed why Bill Self is so good at what he does Self gets you extra points (+6? +8?) each game with how he calls it, OOB plays, etc. KU out-executed Arkansas (by far) in 1H. Needed an extra punch.

To my untrained eye: Looks like Antonio Gordon of K-State shoves De Sousa back over a chair. That sets De Sousa off, and he starts throwing punches. Obviously this started because K-State stole the ball, De Sousa blocked the player and stood over him. Skirmish ensued. #kubball

How about this for some news? Devin Neal ( @Dev_Neal23 ), a 2021 #kufball commit, received a HUGE bump in the new rankings. He is now a 4-star prospect and would be, per the Top247, the highest-ranked HS signee in KU football history. Here's his reaction:

After I stopped playing sports, I got super out of shape. One of the hardest things I did after graduating KU was looking in the mirror and making a change. Years later, I’m down 70 pounds and just ran my first full marathon. Just a reminder it’s never too late to make a change.
