gideon isn't appreciated enough tbh. He was one of the most complex and interesting characters, cared for the team and was maybe the best profiler in the bau. He also really cared and supported Hotch which we don't really see in later seasons.
honestly i kinda don't fuck w the senna movie simply bc they had prost sit for HOURS getting very candid abt his dynamic with senna, only for them to use none of it and paint him as the villain
UK F1 GANG I'M RAISING MONEY FOR PALESTINE!! 🍉
I've restocked my F1/Motorsport bracelets on Etsy and all the money I make until July 7th will be donated to Medical Aid for Palestine (MAP). After that, I plan to do something a bit more organised!
@reithkichards09
Imagine the goats like Senna, Schumacher, Lauda etc being forced to watch the sport they love turn into something on the level of fucking Taylor Swift or K-Pop. Fate worse than death
prost: you can't even begin to understand senna as a person without knowing exactly what he told me during the winter after i retired
interviewer: damn fr? what did he say??
prost: i can't tell u sos
90% of the russell/hamilton rivalry is manufactured on twitter. the other 10% is a necessary level of rivalry that all athletes should have with each other.
obsessively stalking and cultivating a creepy parasocial relationship with the women who date your fave f1 drivers whilst you're not able to name anyone other than susie wolff or lissie mackintosh when asked about women in motorsport it not the feminist moment you think it is!!
(some) reid stans forget that each character was an individual character whos existence didn't just revolve around reid. like reducing every female character to a mother figure for reid and nothing else?🤨
not to say that the team didn't care for Hotch, but gideon was also like a father figure to Hotch and I feel like Rossi failed to fill that void. Rossi was more like the uncle of the group idk??
"He came bouncing up to me at the Brazilian Grand Prix and said, "Hi, I'm Roland!" He seemed a really nice guy. We were all shocked by what happened to him" - a quote from Martin Brundle in the Senna Versus Prost book that always kinda stuck with me :(
Gabriel Leone will play Ayrton Senna in Senna, a six-episode series based on the life of Ayrton Senna, the world-famous Formula 1 icon.

“His greatest motivation was almost exclusively to beat me. For this reason, after I retired in ’93, Senna was never the same again. His armour which he had built up in our rivalry, was gone and he looked fragile.” Alain Prost
"go to hell" is basic. "i hope your favourite classic era driver gets misinterpreted by the masses on twitter" is smart. it's possible. and it's terrifying.
