Sorry your honour I was speeding, needed to quickly get past all the people grieving over lost loved ones and relatives. Please forgive me

But it’s not the equivalent is it, no sensible MP (with a driving license) would openly tell parliament they’d never speeded or that they hadn’t understood the rules (they’d made) on speeding but got caught doing it anyway, whilst refusing they’d done so, despite clear evidence?

It would be the same if they were asked if they had been speeding in Parliament, said no, they didn't realise they had been speeding on a road they had personally set the speed limit on, and then received said fine and points after it was proven they had.
Lied to parliament

Has any PM appeared repeatedly on TV and implored the nation not to break the speed limit? Does anyone know which PM was in office when speed restrictions were first imposed? Did that PM ever laugh at people who adhere to speed limits while breaking them themselves?
