Coronavirus: Furlough scheme set to be extended until March

@centristjim1 @SkyNews Lockdown will end on 2nd. But after that, areas may be in tier 3. It’s to protect jobs within those areas. Nothing has changed. Don’t panic.

@ed_e77 @SkyNews If most of the country goes into tier 3 that’s basically what we’re in now. This is how they’ll get round lying to us again. The “lockdown” will end December second but they’ll just put us all in tier 3 so they can get away with it

@AndrewJ1901 @SkyNews There was supposed to be a phased re opening of businesses &the most risky businesses would open in October, that’s why! If there’s a furlough until March they won’t open certain things until then, that’s the whole point. But what aren’t they planning to reopen until then?!

@centristjim1 @SkyNews It means another lockdown will be coming through. When that’ll be is yet to be seen. I reckon it’ll be in January to appease to the public by allowing that to at least be able to celebrate Christmas with friends and family. #NationalLockdown #furlough

@centristjim1 @SkyNews They’ve probably learned from last time. I.e. come the end of furlough (Dec), business would have laid staff off anyway, despite any possible extension of either furlough or lockdown.
