Holding the state to account and challenging discrimination in the justice system around male violence against women and girls. RTs are not endorsements.
We know so many women serving life sentencing for murder after lashing out in fear of their abusers, yet this man who is described as using "grooming" techniques to exert "coercive and controlling behaviour" over women, escapes a murder conviction

Not even a week after the second reading of the Domestic Abuse Bill in

A woman is killed every 3 days in the UK. The sad truth is that the deaths of many of these women are overlooked by the mainstream media. With your help these women can be remembered, honoured and made visible.

@justice4women
with other leading UK-based feminists will coordinate a massive campaign 4 justice in the Cyprus rape allegation case. The ramifications & potential dire consequences go way beyond the injustice this young woman has suffered. The guilty verdict must be overturned.
The outpouring of anger & shared stories by women everywhere, reveals that most women fear male violence. That fear is based on a victim-blaming misogynistic culture & a woefully inadequate criminal justice system which provides near impunity for rapists
#SarahEverard
Man who killed Natalie Connolly is to be freed after serving less than 2 years. Natalie suffered more than 40 injuries: a 'blow-out' fracture to her left eye & internal injuries. He left her to die in a pool of blood.
Where is the justice?
"It is clear that women who resist male violence are punished most severely, whereas men who throttle their wives to death for no apparent reason are just “tragic” figures.”

Domestic abuse victims are being put at further risk because the police are failing to attach bail conditions to suspected perpetrators, a damning report has found

Domestic abusers who went on to kill their partners were known to police in 80% of cases, a police report has found. The figures revealed that in the year to the end of March 2023, 60% of those had been reported to police specifically for domestic abuse.
The depths of degradation and violent misogyny to which men will go usually without detection of punishment, will sadly rarely fail to shock. It is clear that women and girls are never safe from male violence, even in death.

Violence against women is a public health emergency. We need a complete transformation of the CJS - from top down we need proper leadership and we need accountability
We have been approached by another 30 women today who have been abused by members of police force and let down. This is on top of the 46 who already have been in touch with us. Not a small number!
