– After 24 years of loyal service, we’re saying goodbye to B-HLJ, the world’s first Airbus A330. Once the world’s largest twinjet, it joined our fleet back in 1996. Flying for the last time on 17 July, B-HLJ concluded 63,900 hours and 26,983 cycles of service!

Our parked aircraft are given meticulous attention. We cover their engines; wash and cover flight compartment windows and windshields with reflective material; cover wheel assemblies; and cover internal furnishings in the cabin. We’re staying ready to welcome you onboard, soon.
Look what’s just rolled out of the paint shop – our freshly coated A350-1000. We’re investing substantially in the future and will be taking delivery of 79 new aircraft between now and 2024. See you onboard!
The last Boeing 747 produced was flown out of the iconic Everett Factory last month. The “Queen of the Skies”👑 helped Cathay Pacific expand across Europe and North America throughout the 80s and 90s💪🏻, so it is only fitting that we pay our tribute to the legendary jet🙌🏻.

Did you know, 22 years ago we received our first ever Boeing 777-300. We were also one of eight airlines who provided input for the 777 at the design stage, which allowed us to craft a memorable flying experience that has continually withstood the test of time.

When a plane lands, its wings sometimes emit a strong cloak of cloud. This is due to lift forces that cause a sudden drop in air pressure and temperature, which can cause water vapour to condense into water droplets, which we see as clouds. Mystery solved!

In 2000, the Boeing 777, B-HNL landed safely in Hong Kong and started her 18-year career with us. After operating over 20,000 flights, she will be spending her retirement as one of the centrepieces of the Pima Air and Space Museum in the Arizona desert.
