universities are insane about their attendance (re: my university’s four attendance absence rule a semester, 2 leaves and 4 medical leaves). i shouldn’t be sitting in class when i can barely walk and the professor herself is concerned about me but sure.

it dehumanises the student— an 75-80% attendance rule is valid but like. you’re telling me whether in the fall or summer semester i can’t take more than 4 absences? some professors count your leaves in absences as well, some only consider INFORMED medical leave?

also professors genuinely need to get off their high horse sometimes and consider students as human beings that get sick and suffer. i’m learning nothing being here, i’m just burning in a fever and forced to be here till 2 p.m.
