Waiting until after 5pm ET to complete the Giordano trade would definitely provide some additional flexibility for the #Leafs in terms of creating the space needed to fit him under the cap. It would give them the benefit of saving Clifford and Mrázek's cap space if they clear.

In regards to the Vegas situation: If the trade isn't approved, Dadonov's cap remains on VGK. If their LTI players become healthy, they must activate them If they shed cap through a trade, the traded player isn't eligible to play in any NHL games for the remainder of the season
