-Bacot had a bad ankle which he injured again. -Manek got hit in the face twice & turned an ankle at the end. -Puff Johnson got the wind knocked out of him and threw up. -Caleb Love rolled an ankle. Not why UNC lost but I’ve never seen that much bad injury luck in one game.

UNC was 6-0 and ranked 10th in the country while NCSU appeared to be having a down year. Next week UNC could lose at NCSU to finish 8-4, the Pack will be 9-3 and finish ahead of UNC in the standings. You cannot make up the nightmarish turn this season took.

I think they should turn the NIT down. Bacot isn’t healthy. Can’t imagine a group of players who weren’t motivated enough all season long will be in a consolation tournament. Get a jump on the roster retooling by finding out which returning players are going to do.

Caleb Love is still the same player. Does some good things, hits a ridiculous shot or two, commits some weird bad turnovers and hits four clutch free throws to seal the game. He also doesn’t have to carry quite as much of the load which is probably good change.
