The Minnesota Timberwolves are finalizing hiring Detroit Pistons assistant GM Sachin Gupta as Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations, league sources tell

. Gupta and Gersson Rosas worked together in Houston.
For a long time I was convinced Bryan Colangelo’s consistently mediocre and uncreative moves didn’t matter as long as we had Embiid/Simmons. Was very wrong.
It’s also pretty unbelievable the current regime is wasting a two-way slot on Demetrius Jackson and they’ve chosen not to use an open roster spot for a month with by far the worst depth among contending teams in the league.
I think Landry Shamet is going to benefit so much from at least one year of learning under JJ Redick. His natural stroke is beautiful, could become a really nice player.
The Sixers are on the verge of winning 50 games and securing the three-seed in a season where their two best players are in their first and second seasons, yet there are still people who think Sam Hinkie didn’t know what he was doing.
Think I’m ready to prematurely add Ayton to the Whiteside/Drummond ‘centers who struggle to defend yet talk shit and then are fouled out by Embiid’ list
The

now have Embiid, Simmons, Covington, and Fultz all under contract for numerous years with an additional max contract slot still available. It was always worth it.
I would LOVE if someone would take Knox before the Sixers at 10... I don’t hate Knox but there’s way too many hypotheticals with him. Mikal Bridges is going to be a better pro
IMO.
Yep. Colangelo, in terms of team building, did what we wanted. He signed a bunch of veterans to one year deals who helped Simmons/Embiid grow. The Fultz trade is hindsight 20/20, but the idea was really great and it’s a long way from being done.
@IgglesCoverage
Hearing otherwise, sources are indicating the team has been more impressed with McGloin. Once said it's "like having another 1st round pick"
@IgglesCoverage
Think they should bring him in to compete with Sudfeld for the back-up job but ultimately try and move him for a 4th rounder around cut day.
