My and @tylerwittman 's forthcoming book in a nutshell: “Our goal in this book is to assemble a toolkit for biblical reasoning. The toolkit’s goal is to enable better exegesis. The goal of that exegesis is, ultimately, to see God.” ()

Dear tweeple, I have another forthcoming book. () Due out from @crossway in August. The main goal is to get aspiring pastors to stop saying "I'm called to ministry" and start saying "I aspire to elder," and then live like it. Please tell your friends &c.

@PrinHmprdnkFlcn Not necessary because you can form relationships in many other ways: one to one, proximity of where you live or work, serving together behind the scenes, and so on. Not sufficient because they are only a small slice of the church. If treated as magic key, they can become cliques.

Thanksgiving is the enemy of discontent. You might say, “If God had given me more reasons to be happy, I’d be more thankful.” But it’s the opposite: If you were more thankful, you’d see more of the reasons God has already given you to be happy.
