I am for the uniform I wear. This week (again)Felt the full force of ingrained hatred towards the police. Towards women. It was a scary, lonely place to be. But never been prouder to be me. To be a police officer. To be a role model to others. And to know such lovely people. /3

A decade ago on 10th January I was sworn in as a Special Constable. Now coming up to 4 years as a Police Constable. Back then I had hope & faith (still do) but had no idea how good my life would get. Life is fantastic now and I'm so glad to be here. My dreams are just as big now.

I have a degree. It has transferable skills for other roles however has no bearing on my skills as a Police Officer. If others see me differently for having a completely unrelated degree it really doesn't matter. In my view you don't need a degree to be a police officer. #opinion

I am disabled, in severe pain with debilitating neurological conditions and now a size 20... But hey!!🤗🤗 I did two small cardio sessions with no jumping/jarring movements and I am off out for dinner with my family. I put on some make up quickly and a necklace. Feel😊.

I'm so happy I've lost a little weight. It is really hard at the moment. I'm in so much pain, sometimes I have no appetite, a lot of times I need to sleep 2-3 times a day. When I can I do v small walks. This is a happy tweet and a happy day!

I shared this with my loved ones a year ago today!☺️🙌 Today, I have lost over 6 stone! I am a few lbs from having lost *all* the weight I put on with my spinal injuries. Yes, I am still in a LOT of nerve pain & on the highest amount of pain meds but I am doing so well!🌟🫶✨️

I've got a chest infection and been ill last few days and nerve pain is its usual self however I've had the best weekend with my Mum and Dad. Quality time together and our first "break" away from my chronic conditions. Fantastic memories made! ❤️❤️

I was due in to the Hospital Spinal Clinic in person next week but had a call today. I have a C6 herniated disc in my neck and I also have a Chiari malformation. I have been referred to Neurosurgery. Been a difficult day but I'm still here, roof over my head with my loved ones.👍

It might sound a really funny thing to say but I feel like I look different already - like a physical weight has been lifted. I had 2 hours sleep and just restful the rest of the night the best I could. I am so so ready and desperate to get home now!!!!

I was diagnosed in March with 2 herniated discs in my neck at C4/C5 and C5/C6 & a 5mm Chiari Malformation Today is finally the day I go to a spinal specialist. I feel a bit sick. I don't know what to expect. I feel really nervous. I'm so excited to be closer to help & treatment!

Few weeks back my anxiety hit me with a vengeance. Life is going well,my career is great & I have lovely,supportive family & friends.There was no reason for it. I have generalised anxiety disorder & depression & I live with it. Some days have been tough but this weekend was good.

Final visit to the Walton Centre before my op, done😊 I've signed my consent form for my operation, my cerebrospinal fluid flow looked good from my December MRI 😃 the surgeon is kindly going to ring my family after my op😊 and @PTCentres sorted for while I recover .. YAY!!!!

I guess it is easy to make it look like things are great on social media when they're not always great. Like life, you can't be 100% all the time. I'm in pain and feel sick but today I did a walk, ate a nice pizza and spent time with my lovely family. It's OK not to be OK. ❤
