Comparing the hashrate of different PoW just like comparing the cores of CPU and GPU. Equihash-BTG is 15x harder than before. Our hashrate was 30M-ish pre-fork and 2M post-fork. It means nearly all the miners didn't leave $BTG.

@WeissRatings 2/ What do you mean by "the network is too small"? The number of full nodes is unrelated to the hash power, though we have hundreds nodes on avg. Hashrate is directly proportional to "block reward * coin price". It makes no sense to rate a coin based on the price or block reward.

Bitmain's Equihash ASIC can be an on-chip solver or with advanced memory module (e.g. HBM). A change of Equihash parameter can invalidate it, which is Zcash's and our plan.

Hugo @hugohanoi wrote a great article highlighting how proof of stake is inferior to proof of work when handling the worst case scenarios. IMO, for a robust and decentralized cryptocurrency, PoW is the only way to go.

@cryptodavidw But it just delegates the verification of ZKP to a MPC group, which is usually just 3 peers. It’s like using the worst trust assumption to accommodate the best just in order to run it on Bitcoin.

ABC hijacked hashpower from BTC pools during the great #bcash #hashwar . How stupid it was! It showed nothing other than the ASIC threat to the community. ABC finally learned that block racing is meaningless and stopped. Next step: 51% attack toward the exchanges. 🍿🍿🍿
