We remember on this day 7 years ago the Holy Coptic Martyrs executed by ISIS on the beach in Libya and ask for their prayers for all suffering persecution for their faith in Christ
On this day in 2007 in Mosul, Fr. Ragheed Ganni and his subdeacons were martyred by Islamists. He had refused to close his Church - “how can I close the House of God?” (picture by Neilson Carlin)
Hearing reports that Pastor Lawan Adimi, kidnapped by Boko Haram/ISIS in Nigeria has been beheaded. The massive slaughter of Christians in Nigeria is barely being touched by the media - why? Do African Christians not matter?
Now a Greek Orthodox priest shot in Lyon - after a week of Christians being killed - presumably there will be major coverage from the MSM - marches, protests, solidarity? Yes...I know
The U.K. has, for the second time, denied a visa to my friend, Iraqi nun Sister Ban Madleen- driven out of her convent by ISIS but unacceptable for a month’s visit to the U.K. what is wrong with Britain?
Wondering when we will have the large public protests throughout the world to protest the deaths of thousands of Christians in Nigeria, Mali, Burkina Faso at the hands of radical Islamists? Or to protest the Yazidi women and girls still in captivity?
Both St. John Fisher and St. Thomas More (Feast today in England - should be Solemnity!) were willing to lose everything because of their faithfulness to the truth and not the King or the mob. Needed today more than ever
The Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham has issued an official confirmation. It’s a joy to welcome Michael Nazir-Ali into the Ordinariate and soon, please God, into the Catholic priesthood. As an Anglican friend of mine said, “he’s an intellectual, spiritual and moral giant.”
Very happy to hear the news that my friend Emerald Robinson is the new WH correspondent for Newsmax TV - she is a constant supporter of persecuted Christians throughout the world -one of the very few in the media
CHRISTIANS ARE BEING MURDERED ALL AROUND THE WORLD - so grateful to my dear friend Emerald for her constant support - one of the very few in the media highlighting the worldwide persecution of Christians

The true Lebanon is what I experienced last year - when a Sunni family took in a Catholic priest they had never met - gave him food and and bed - and treated me as a member of the family in the midst of rioting and chaos
St. Margaret Clitherow, although pregnant with her 4th child, crushed to death for the “crime” of caring for priests - “Mrs Clitherow, you must remember that you die for treason - ‘No, no, Mr Sheriff, I die for the love of my Lord Jesus.”
Blessed to lunch with Emerald Robinson, the OANN White House corespondent. A lovely lady in person and personality and a strong defender of persecuted Christians around the world - so rare in the media!
Huge crowd (probably close to 4,000) at Easter Mass in Shkroder Cathedral. Incredible to think 30 years ago it was illegal to go to Mass - and the Cathedral was a sports centre. Christus Vincit, Christus Regnat
The Church in Syria was born on this Day of Pentecost which is also, in the calendar today, the Feast of St. Ephraim the Syrian. We pray for the suffering Church of Syria and peace in that beloved land of saints
8 years ago today the demonic forces of ISIS martyred the 21 Coptic Martyrs of Libya - poor humble Egyptians & 1 African - who died with the name of Jesus on their lips. Great witnesses!

The interior of the Baldacchino of Our Lady of the Rosary in Greenville SC - the night sky on Oct 7th, 1571 - the Battle of Lepanto. Next week is the 450th anniversary 🥳🥳🥳
Just received a most precious gift from Bishop Thabet - a first class relic of Holy Martyr Fr. Ragheed Ganni, martyred in Mosul in 2007. We pray his beatification will be announced soon.
Watched the BBC News at 5.30pm - rightly, a report, with film and reporter, on the fire in Bangladesh. Not one second, three seconds, mention of 50+ Nigerian Catholics killed in terrorist attack in Church today
#NigerianChristianLivesMatter
Fr. Ragheed Ganni with his subdeacons was martyred on this day in Mosul in 2007. One hopes, especially after the inclusion of the Coptic Martyrs in the Roman Martyrology, that their beatification is imminent
@NasareanO
With my friend the lovely, effervescent and witty Emerald Robinson, WH correspondent for One America News, and one of the great champions for the Persecuted Church in the media.
The two kidnapped bishops of Aleppo - outside the Church at Minster Abbey in Kent. If they are alive, we pray for them - if they are martyrs - they pray for us.
Heading up to London on a wet and windy day for the Ordination of Michael Nazir Ali, former Bishop of Rochester, as a Catholic priest of the Ordinariate. May St. John Fisher pray for him
I have the great joy of announcing that on May 22 I was incardinated as a priest of the Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham - to place advocacy and care for the Persecuted Church at the heart of the Ordinariate. I will continue to divide my time between the US & U.K. - and ME
Terrorists kill 70 in Christmas Eve attack on Christian villages - more attacks on Christians in Nigeria over Christmas while the world averts its gaze

No Christians Allowed: Muslim UN Officials Block Syrian Christian Refugees from Getting Help | CBN News - this is, unfortunately, well known - but no one does anything about it
“The first swallow from the cup of the natural sciences makes atheists - but at the bottom of the cup God is waiting.” Werner Heisenberg, Nuclear physicist and Nobel laureate.
Tomb of Servant of God Fr. Ragheed Ganni - in the desecrated Church in Karamlesh - ISIS destroyed the tombstone. Last year just after the liberation - I knelt and prayed - now they are preparing to build a Shrine for this great Saint of Iraq!
Divine Providence will determine the time of my return to my usual pastoral activities. In the meantime, please help me to prepare, as best as possible, for that time by your prayers. - Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke
Some good news for the day - Sister Ban Madleen from Iraq received her visa to visit her family in Britain for a month. Sad that it needed publicity and the intervention of J. Rees Mogg MP to get a victim of ISIS permission to visit her family in the U.K.
28 years ago today, ordained a Catholic priest on the Feast of St. Josaphat, great martyr of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. Born on St. Charbel’s day - ordained today - God had plans for ministry with persecuted Christians. His providence is wonderful!

🇳🇬. According to certain news outlets, more than a hundred people were killed. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims. This massacre must end. Persecuted Christians must receive help.
Praying especially for the Christians of Nigeria today, a land awash with the blood of new martyrs - and the silence of the West is beginning to look less like indifference and more like acquiescence
@NasareanO
Christians are being massacred in Nigeria by Fulani and Boko Haram jihadists -- and no one seems to care.
The most severe persecution of these defenseless Christians -- who make up half of Nigeria's total population -- has been taking place mostly in the…

I was in the audience when VP Pence said the defence of persecuted Christians would be a “foreign policy priority” for the administration. Grant Asia Bibi and her family US citizenship and get a plane there tomorrow!
Feast of Our Lady of Walsingham. England is the “Dowry of Mary”. In this icon, written by Amanda de Pulford, the Lady Richeldis offers the Holy House to Our Lady. Pray for the conversion of England!
25 years ago - November 12th, 1994, the Feast of St. Josaphat, I was ordained a Catholic priest by Archbishop John Aloysius Ward ofmCap, in the Church of St. Thomas, Canterbury - now blessed to be a priest of the Ordinariate and working for Persecuted Christians
Just a year ago I stood beside the Mosque in Mosul where Baghdadi proclaimed the Caliphate. We should indeed rejoice at the defeat of the physical Caliphate - but not imagine for a minute that the thousands of dedicated fighters are going home to play tiddlywinks.
Packed Church tonight for Mass in St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Erbil, Iraq, celebrated by Archbishop Warda - I met him on my first visit to Iraq in early 2015 when he was trying to help the thousands of displaced Christians forced out by ISIS and needing food and housing
“The world is trying the experiment of attempting to form a civilised but non-Christian morality:the experiment will fail; but we must be very patient in awaiting its collapse, meanwhile redeeming the time: so that the faith may be preserved alive through the dark ages before us”
Today is the Feast day of St. Gianna Molla - I had the privilege to bump into her daughter Gianna, wandering around St. Peter’s in 2015 - not often you meet the daughter of a saint!
Feast of Saint John Fisher and Saint Thomas - a bishop and a layman - who knew that Faith was not a “personal and private matter” and who died for it. Great and Holy Martyrs!
Hearing the wonderful news (please God it’s true🙏) that the 4 members of the wonderful French charity SOS Chretiens, kidnapped in Baghdad in January have been freed! Their leader, Alexandre, helped me very much when I was in Syria.
This sweet and simple Coptic Icon given to me by a friend who visited Egypt, reminds us to pray for all those who will be in danger for worshipping the Lord this Christmas. A blessed and peaceful Christmas to all!
“Social distancing” with my dear friend Emerald Robinson, Newsmax White House Correspondent and fearless champion for persecuted Christians around the world
Remembering, with great thanksgiving on this Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul, visiting the house of Ananias in Damascus, where Paul received his sight back
@NasareanO
Today is the Feast of St. Jonah the Prophet - I’m standing in front of his tomb in Mosul (Nineveh) last year with the icon of the Prophet - ISIS blew up the tomb - very few Christians have returned to Mosul

Thank you for all your prayers - I was in Syria - more about that later - unfortunately I’ve come into Lebanon as all hell is breaking loose - I’m outside of Beirut - can’t get in - more prayers appreciated !!
