Our wonderful boy, Statler, has left us. He passed in the arms of his beloved caretaker, Moriah, while napping in the morning sun. He will be laid to rest next to Chessie, & old friend Walter. We love you, Statler. Thank you for the years you gave us, and the trust you put in us

Rosebud, a beautiful yellow bat, is visiting us from BW MidCities. She came into care back in Feb during a cold snap. Rosebud was found to be suffering from frostbite, as well as pregnant. She will stay with us and have her pups in luxury, all while being fed her fill of worms

Butters hitched a ride from somewhere in South America on a truck full of produce. He made it all the way to Dallas TX b4 the driver noticed and gave us a call. Since his species is not native, and we don't know where his colony is located, Butters is a permanent resident ❤

Teeny tiny batty toes, courtesy of a Jamaican fruit bat that we were giving a check up! We use cloth to wrap up the bats that don't like being handled. We only handle when absolutely necessary, & being wrapped up helps them feel secure and protects fingers from grumpy nibbles 😊

rushed the pup into the clinic, where she was given emergency fluids and placed in a warm incubator. She was given warmed milk formula, which she ate with gusto. The little pup was named Rosie and she will be hand raised by staff until she is old enough to rejoin her colony. 3/3

Alfie update! The side of her face is bruised so it's slow going, but she's eating. The swelling has receded in her abdomen, and we are cautiously optimistic that she'll make a full recovery. Her tail will never be quite straight again after her ordeal, but that's okay with us.❤
