When I was learning to code I got very frustrated when I couldn't remember the names of functions or definitions of words like HTTP.
Until one day my tech lead showed me how he searches google every 5mins while working.
Don't strive to memorise. Understand and google the rest.

The important thing is understanding the concept behind what you’re doing. Then you’d know how to structure your search for what you need at those times.

Total agree. Ive been coding for 23 years and I make a point of not memorizing coding task/syntax that can easily be looked up. Now I use Copilot and ChatGPT. But stack overflow and similar sites are great resources. In the domain of a single language there is far to much…

alot of devs need to get this... Technologies one would use in a stack keep increasing and expanding so trying (and failing obviously) to memorise every won't be a smart way to deliver work

Very true. This thought alone fueled my imposter syndrome when I started, but I just determined to understand the concept and how to solve problems. Then it started getting clearer.

I'm still a novice though with basic knowledge in HTML N CSS, but When I look @ some landing page, I feel like I know the HTML elements and CSS properties to build it with.
